Lady Leisure was started in 2005 by Helen Chi. She had played with the idea of owning her own business, being the 'boss lady' and one day believed in herself and made the jump. She'd rather experience failure than regret not trying at all.

Lady Leisure is based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Helen was raised in Queens, New York, went to public schools her whole life, prefers Korean food in Flushing rather than Manhattan, loves the Brooklyn Museum, follows pop culture, listens to hip hop, lived in three of the five boroughs and recently moved to the 'Jerz' and is lovin' it. Don't hate.

Lady Leisure is an accessories company. Lady Leisure is about being independent, believing in one's self. Our accessories are for the ladies who don't need to be matchy-matchy, and are free with expressing themselves. Helen hand picks the parts, semi-precious stones, beads and creates something different and beautiful each time. Some pieces are limited in quantity, because of availability of a part. All the pieces have meaning, are personal, and may reference a thought, vision, lyrics, or just something that makes her laugh. Helen designs her own bags with alot of thought to detail and wearablity. Easy access to metrocards, cell phone, mp3 player, is important for the woman doing her thing.

Helen brings Lady Leisure for the ladies wanting more options, something different, independent, made with soul, made out of enjoyment.
